☀️ Slowing Down to Honour the Sacred Transformation of Healing 🌻 |
The slowness of summer gives us meaningful opportunities for growth, healing and expansion. We are given the gift to reframe our journey and harvest insights that we may have overlooked. |
When we revisit and reflect on our past pain and challenges, meet it with compassion and grace, because more likely than not, we can discover deeper wisdom to help us find clarity to transform. |
While our ego may distract us with what lifts us up, validate us, thinking that is our healing journey. Our healing and transformation is in the darkness and pain. Welcome the pain and remember all darkness are our awakenings. The are there to help us cleans, heal, and take us to our next level. This is a sign that our next level is close. If we dismiss these invitations, the whisper becomes louder and louder until we can’t ignore it. |
Your greatest power is knowing the external can’t control you. Don’t wait for the apologies or for external changes to heal any pain and challenges that still linger. The only forgiveness you need, is to forgive yourself. |
Interestingly, you know when you have unlocked your next level of healing when the external unlocks more flow and success. What us blocking us is usually the internal work we have not done yet. |
As founders, we bring our whole being to what we do, thus, we only shine to the level of our healing based on our soul contract. |
Always remember, your heart and soul has all power to heal. Stay open to all the possibilities, because we are all meant to shine and have everything that our hearts and soul desires. |

Structures That Don’t Betray the Soul
Ami Cole's recent announcement of their closure made me angry. |
Angry because this wasn't a failure of execution or market demand. Despite prime placement in over 600 Sephora stores, celebrity endorsements, and backing from L'Oréal's venture arm, founder Diarrha N'Diaye-Mbaye was forced to shut down because "no one had the answer to how to scale a diverse, melanin-rich brand." The pressure was immediate and contradictory: "Everyone said it couldn't be viable if we didn't widen the aperture and change our positioning"—essentially demanding the brand abandon its core mission to access growth capital. |
The closure highlights a fundamental contradiction at the heart of today's investment landscape: VCs claim they want purpose-driven businesses, yet their core modeling remains structurally opposed to how authentic conscious and purpose-led brands actually scale. |
This isn't about finding "better" investors or tweaking pitch decks. It's about recognizing that the entire venture capital framework systematically undermines the very qualities it claims to seek in conscious and purpose-led founders. |
The Essentials. The Breakdown. The Framework. and The Path Forward. |
